Like all communities, the challenges we face today in Taber are complex. Finding solutions takes like-minded people and groups. Community partnerships are the backbone of how we move forward at the Kinsmen Club of Taber. They strengthen our town and inspire change, growth and possibility for the people who live and work here. We’re thankful for every partner who helps us achieve our goals.
There are many ways that you can contribute to our efforts to strengthen the community of Taber. You can help us raise funds by purchasing a ticket for our annual Kinsmen Kar Raffle or 50/50 draw. You could become one of our volunteers, donate your time or skills to a specific project or even help us spread the word by sharing our social media posts.
The Kinsmen Club of Taber is proud to be one of the more than 400 clubs that operate under the Kin Club of Canada banner. Kin Canada is an all-Canadian service organization comprising over 6000 active community volunteers nationwide. Founded in 1920, Kin Canada clubs have donated more than $1 billion to Canadian causes, communities and individuals, and international disaster relief efforts. Kin Canada has raised over $47 million to support the work of Cystic Fibrosis Canada and is a Partner for Life with Canadian Blood Services.
Kin Canada does not receive any of the funds the Kinsmen Club of Taber raises in our community. That money is used only for local programs that benefit our community. Kin Canada’s programs and services are financed primarily through members’ annual dues.
In this way, members from coast to coast are enhancing the quality of life in their communities and across the world through the national efforts of Kin Canada.
The Kinsmen Club of Taber is a non-profit service club that raises funds for projects and initiatives that benefit our community. With the help of volunteers, supporters and donors, we improve local facilities, enrich sports and arts organizations and reward young leaders with annual scholarships. Our group is led by a group of volunteers dedicated to making Taber an even better place to live, work and raise a family.
Since 1972, we have served some of Taber’s greatest needs through ongoing seed and project funding of programs and capital projects.
